I have a wide variety of interests, and yet I enjoy tutoring some subjects more than others. I particularly like to tutor grammar, math, and economics. These subjects are a joy to teach because I get a rush out of helping students break down complex material so they can easily understand it. I work hard to listen to my students and encourage their natural strengths and abilities. I have had extensive experience teaching and tutoring a variety of students in different settings. I was a volunteer tutor at the local library for the Boys & Girls Club. I also worked as a preschool gymnastics instructor and economics instructor. In addition, I have worked as a librarian, journalist, and natural resource research consultant. I studied accounting at the University of Arizona and obtained a bachelor's degree. I also earned a master's degree in resource economics from the University of Arizona.I live in Farmington, CT, and tutor the subjects of math (statistics, pre-algebra, middle school math, and elementary math), English (reading, writing, essay editing, and grammar and mechanics), and business (economics, microeconomics, accounting, macroeconomics, and business statistics). In my free time, I enjoy camping, football season (I'm a big fan), Cuban salsa dancing, crafting, and camping.
